I inspected STAMPEDE, the 117'/35.6m Delta expedition yacht at the 2015 Palm Beach Boat Show. This vessel has had a very fortunate life. She was originally built with serious fishing in mind from one of Delta's proven composite commercial fishing hulls that is a proven offshore design with a high bow and 28'/8.5m beam. Master Stateroom In 2006/2008 she was taken back to Delta for a MAJOR refit. Delta added the cockpit and replaced all of the guest areas and some of the crew quarters. They also refreshed all the paint, mechanical and machinery to modern environmental and sound standards. STAMPEDE won the 2009 World Superyacht Award for the Best Refitted Yacht. After the refit was completed, the 2nd (and current) owners went on their world cruise. They have now completed their adventures and are ready to move on. Master Stateroom The entire yacht is in immaculate condition and shows like new. The interior has an immediate warmth derived from the light gloss teak used throughout to the Bahama Blue glass dining table. The Master on deck forward benefits from the full beam and enlarged windows. Below are three generous guest staterooms and a gym. The expanded Sky Lounge is open to the Pilot House with forward facing guest seating for getting the helms person's view. Skylounge Pilot House Dining On the Fly Bridge, her hard top was raised, allowing for a more spacious, comfortable place to relax with a Jacuzzi added which allows guests the ultimate in luxury and relaxation. The boat deck carries a wide array of toys with a generous Sun Pad aft. The aft deck has several seating areas for al fresco dining and observation of the cockpit activities. The built in swim platform provides for easy water access and holds a 300 gallon gas tank.. Fly Bridge with Jacuzzi STAMPEDE has long range (6500 nm @ 10.5 knots) and very economical Caterpillar 3412 power. Her long equipment list reflects what you would expect from a Delta. Boat Deck Sunpad From my latest inspection it was clear that not much needs to be done for STAMPEDE to be off on her next adventure. She is truly a world class expedition yacht!
