SAFIRA has been recently launched and is a one of a kind, 'green' custom-built global explorer. Featuring Sparkman & Stephens exterior styling, SAFIRA is remarkably engineered with unsurpassed sea handling capability and state of the art equipment. ABS classed and MCA unrestricted with an Ice Strengthened steel hull, SAFIRA is built for the ultimate adventurer. She is ready to set sail with her new owner to the higher and lower latitudes and ‘offthebeatenpath’ locales around the world. With SAFIRA, the World is your oyster. Main Salon  Power is delivered by Schottel Rudder propeller azipod drives - about 20 percent more efficient than conventional shafts. In addition, the Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines can run on 15 percent biodiesel. A split day tank—one for biofuel and one for diesel—allows the engineer to mix on board. On deck, the Dutch product Esthec replaces environmentally sensitive teak. The attractive composite decking material resembles wood but is ecologically sound both in manufacture and maintenance. It also cushions the boat deck, reducing sound transmission to the crew quarters beneath. LED lights throughout and good insulation reduce the electrical load and allow SAFIRA to carry smaller generators for saving fuel. DPS allows SAFIRA to avoid anchoring in environmentally delicate areas, such as over coral reefs. Master Stateroom  Wanting to create a comfortable environment with the idea of long passages in mind, Michael David & Associates designed a spacious and light-filled interior with a large skylounge on the bridge deck and dining for 10 forward of the main salon on the main deck. SAFIRA has fantastic outdoor deck spaces with a bar and generous lounging area surrounding the Jacuzzi on the sundeck, al fresco aft deck dining on the bridge deck, and a further seating area on the main deck aft. Skylounge  SAFIRA accommodates 10 guest in 5 staterooms with 1 full beam master cabin below decks amidships. Guests are accommodated in two twin and two double staterooms forward of the Owner’s stateroom all with en-suite bathrooms and all located on the lower deck. The gym is aft of the bridge and hosts a treadmill, weight bench, dumbbells, and a stationary bicycle. | |||
