Steve inspected HOPE, the aluminum 90’ Palmer Johnson built in 1992 with design by Dick Boon. Those of you that follow our site have seen other Dick Boon/Doggersbanks on these pages. HOPE (ex MA MU VI) is a very similar layout to the 85’ Kuipers SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY but improved upon and in nicer condition.
Hope’s exterior paint (including the bottom) is in good condition, no bubbles apparent. The teak needs some attention but not major.
Master Stateroom
The raised panel Cherry interior is in great condition with a very comfortable layout. In particular, the Master stateroom is very private below aft of the engine room with a center line king berth. Two twin cabins are forward of the engine room with ample crew quarters forward of that with excellent storage, pumps and freezer below.
Salon
The salon has a full bar aft with large windows providing extra light, comfortable club seating and desk with a view. The rectangular galley works well at sea and the breakfast nook to starboard is quite inviting.

Forward to the Pilot House, she carries a good array of electronics including V-SAT for all internet needs, Wi-Fi everywhere and Apple T-V.
Pilot House
The bridge deck congers up cruising! The triple seat fly bridge helm station is fully operational. Above is a permanent soft top. There are covered and uncovered dining areas. Aft of the open deck area is the well laid out tender storage area for 18’ and 15’ boats with other toys that can be lowered either port or starboard.

HOPE has been operated for most of her cruising life with 2 crew. I found HOPE to be a fully capable long range Expedition Yacht.
