OYD set out to create a unique long range, blue water motor yacht with a fresh elegant style all in 24 meters (78 feet). It must contain all the features and amenities one would expect in a four-stateroom vessel, including crew quarters and a nice size lazarette. Accomplishing this in just 24 meters will minimize crew, maintenance and operating expenses. Comnbined with a 90 ton fuel miser hull and the result is a yacht that is easy to handle and economical to own and operate as well as leaving a small carbon footprint.

The first step for OYD was to base the Allegro 24 on their proven "fast displacement" round bilge, bulbous bow hull that is known for superior sea-keeping, comfort and efficiency. Designed from the ground up to easily travel over 4,000 miles non-stop, the Allegro 24 is equipped with "A" list commercial grade systems with full redundancy for safety and years of reliable service.

A generous 6.25 meter (20.5 foot) beam provides a trememdous interior volume, resulting in the feel of a much larger vessel. Special care has been maintained throughout the design process to provide a comfortable, flowing layout not only for the owner and guests, but for the crew as well. The custom joinery package manufactured in North America is standard and assures superyacht quality finish throughout.
