BULBOUS BOW
A bulbous bow shall be incorporated into the structure. Plating to be heavy steel equal to the hull plating and bulbous structure shall include swash plates.
BULKHEADS – WATERTIGHT COMPARTMENTS
Watertight, oil-tight and structural bulkheads are to be welded and of scantlings as indicated.
The hull bulkheads shall be arranged as shown on the contract drawings and shall be of steel corrugated plate, or the bulkheads shall have properly sized stiffeners to comply with ABS standards. All penetrations through watertight bulkheads shall be installed strictly in accordance with ABS requirements.
Watertight bulkhead and floor penetrations to use ABS approved system for cable and piping transit to maintain water and gas tight integrity and fire and sound insulation properties.
The vessel's hull shall be subdivided by transverse and longitudinal watertight and or oil tight bulkheads as shown on the contract drawings and consist of the following compartments:
1. Forepeak
2. Fresh Water Tanks
3. Bow thruster Compartment
4. Guest Stateroom Compartment
5. Master stateroom Compartment
6. Fuel Oil Tanks
7. Engine Room
8. Steering Gear Compartment
109-00 DOUBLE BOTTOM WATERTIGHT COMPARTMENT
The area under the accommodations deck is to be watertight (double bottom) and shall be used for tankage. Watertight, oil-tight and structural double bottom is to be welded and of scantlings as indicated. Watertight access hatches to be provided under accommodations access hatches.
114-00 ENGINE ROOM
The engine room is to be finished utilizing the best yacht practice. Soles to be finished in diamond treaded aluminum plates anodized, which is isolated from the steel sole bearer system by rubber strips. Engine room shall be laid out in an organized and professional manner. Perforated painted aluminum sheet to be installed as directed on bulkheads and overhead.
Polished stainless steel handrails to be provided where necessary. Rotating signal lights or light bar to be provided indicating fire, general alarm, telephone.
Additional heavy duty lifting points to be installed at the overhead
as per plans and a workbench with rubber top surface, drawers and sink to be provided. Vise to be installed on workbench.
MAIN ENGINES
Two (2) CATERPILLAR C32 1100 hp @ 2100 rpm B-rated, 24V elec. start, lubricating oil filters, dry exhaust manifolds, 24V alarm system, mechanical instrument panel. Main engines are to be painted white.
REDUCTION GEARS AND/OR DRIVE UNITS
Two (2) TWIN DISK MG 6598DC reduction gears or similar, The gears to have power take off system with electric clutch to feed the Bow Thruster, windless and crane.
GENERATORS
Two (2) NORTHERN LIGHTS 70 KW @ 1800 rpm, 380 V Three phase with double mount system, fiberglass sound shields and gas-water separators
PROPPELLERS
The propellers shall be a pair, one (1) R/H and one (1) L/H, Bronze, of 5-blade units
ENGINE CONTROLS
Engine controls shall be Kobelt controls
BOW THRUSTER
Bow Thruster shall be a 20” Quantum Hydraulics - 100 HP
GROUND TACKLE EQUIPMENT – WINDLASS / CAPSTAIN
The windlass and ground tackle shall have two Maxwell or Muir 8000 Lbs windlasses with 450' of 5/8” High tensile chain on each side (port and starboard) and 300 Kgs Navy type stainless steel anchors to be stored in two polished stainless steel anchor pockets located at port and starboard bow sides.
220-00 AIR CONDITIONING
Aqua Air Alpha Series or equivalent. There shall be a fresh air makeup system.
221-00 STABILIZER
Quantum Hydraulics Zero Speed stabilizers
FUEL OIL SYSTEM
- An ALFA LAVAL fuel system model MIB 303 shall be installed.
Fuel filters for the main engines and generators are to be conveniently located and dimensioned as engine/generators manufacturer's specification. Both main engines shall be fitted with duplex RACOR filters (single filters for the generators,:
- Two (2) RACOR fuel filters, Mod. 751000MAX30 for main engines.
Generator RACOR to Mod. 1000MA30 single unit.
Sight gauges tank level to be placed adjacent to the tanks and fuel tank level monitors to be placed at the wheelhouse. Drip trays to be provided for all pumps, drains and fuel filters. Provision shall be made for pumping out the waste oil tank.
(1) polished stainless steel retractable hose reel and ¾” PVC coated filling line to be provided near the engine room entry door for filling of tenders at the swim platform.
Shore Power System
The vessel shall be equipped with Atlas or equal power conversion system.
Water Maker
There shall be two water makers, 60 gal/hr each.
Black Water System
The waterjet Headhunter toilet system
The USCG Certified Type II Marine Sanitation Device (MSD) shall be supplied.
FIRE, BILGE AND ANCHOR WASH
The bilge system is to include two large bilge pumps, one (1) direct engine driven pump located in the E/R and one (1) 220 VAC electric pump located in the E/R, connected to the bilge manifold. In addition, there will be seven
(7) submersible pumps, one in each compartment.
Fire Detection and Alarm System
A central fire alarm system shall be fitted and shall include appropriate heat and/or smoke detectors in each of the accommodation spaces and the engine room. There shall be monitoring panels in the wheelhouse and crew mess
that show the location of the fire with individual lights.
JACUZZI
A Jacuzzi is to be installed on the sun deck, and shall be filled via a 2” line directly from the fresh water pump.
TENDER HANDLING
The builder shall supply and install a 4000 kg OPACMARE or equivalent hydraulic boom crane.
HYDRAULIC PASSARELLE
The hydraulic passerelle shall be installed in the aft port side of the vessel.
Service Air
A central service compressed air system as specified in Appendix B shall be provided.
Teak Decks
Teak decking shall be bonded in epoxy glue or other adhesive. No mechanical fasteners shall be used in final teak layer.
