175' (53.3 m) Research Vessel "PROTEUS"
PROTEUS was built at Rysco Shipyard in Florida in 1977 as an offshore supply vessel. She was converted in 2005 by Stabbert Maritime for Oceanographic Research and as an Exploration Yacht. PROTEUS is in ABS class and had an extensive technical refit in 2009 making her ready for extended voyages now. An estate is selling PROTEUS and they are eager to get her off their books.
