Uptight is a modified version of the Darwin 102 that has been custom designed to be a long-range fishing vessel. If you are looking to cruise the world and fish in remote areas, this is the vessel for you. You can also outfit the boat to be a great dive platform.

The 102' Darwin design created by Sergio Cutilo at Hydrotec is a proven Explorer Yacht design. The sister designs have thousands of miles under their keels and have proven themselves to be outstanding Explorer Yachts and Cantiere Delle Marche has proven again and again to be one of the top Explore Yacht builders in the world.

I have visited the Cantiere Delle Marche a number of times, and I have inspecte most of their vessels delivered, and I have sold them. Most importantly I personally know a number of their captains and they all love their vessels as do the owners. Many would say that the owners loving their boats is the important thing but as a ex-captain I feel that when you have captains that have huge amounts of miles under the keel of the vessel they are in charge of and again and again the tell you how much they enjoy running them and being at sea in them. This is a huge compliment to both the designer and the builder and should be taken note of.

Uptight has 4200nm range at 11 knots. This is a very nice cruising speed and is a testament to the slippery hull form that Hydrotec has developed. The other item that sets this vessel apart from others in her class is the large lazarette for a vessel of this size. To me this is a wonderful feature that many other vessels do not have, it provides you the space needed not only store the fishing gear but dive gear, extra cold storage and parts. You just cannot have too much of this type of space.
