StallarCAT All-Metal Power Catamarans
.I would like to take a moment to discuss with you the new StallarCAT All-Metal power Catamaran designs and how they came to be.
StellarCAT Power Catamarans- AL2503 • AL2502 • AL2002
I am a big fan and longtime friend of Chris the owner of Stellar Marine. At one time our offices were very close, and we would often discuss the merits of different hull designs for long range cruising.
I was not a fan of the many composite cats that advertised themselves as long range cruisers but did see the merits of the design for cruising and for speed.
Chris and I started to wonder if we could create a better mouse trap, and I think that Chris has.
StellarPM Yacht Under Construction
By building in Aluminum we could make a better, very strong yet relatively light vessel at a solid price point. We wanted to make a vessel that was easy to modify to meet a broad range of uses with flexible layouts and that could easily not only cruise long distances but stay on station in remote locations for extended periods of time. This meant that it not only needed good fuel capacity, high efficiency, but also needed to have a high volume of cold and dry storage.
I wanted it to be a great near costal and island cruising yacht, not an ocean crossing vessel but highly seaworthy, strong and with enough range to cruise extensively in a broad range of conditions in safety and comfort. I was envisioning 10 to 12 knots cruising, Chris envisioned much more and what was created was an excellent blend. In the base models you are looking at a comfortable cruise of 12 to 14 knots with a 3600 NM range or long periods of extend stays in remote spots. Chris was able to option it up to a max speed of 30 knots and a range of 1600 NM, of course you can slow down and get much more range or you can balance fast cruising and time of station as you desire.
The way we developed the vessel allowed for a broad range of layouts from family cruising and operation to a high-capacity charter layout with profectional crew. The base layout sleeps 8 in 4 staterooms included a huge king master on the deck with separate his and her heads. The HER head has the option for a large tub/shower and both have large closets. The key feature of this stateroom is the panoramic view. All the guest staterooms feature a large viewing window

The high capacity, charter or large family layout features twin queen on deck master staterooms each with its own ensuite head, 4 guest cabins that can be queen or twin with ensuite heads, there is even an option for Pullman berths to sleep upto 16 guests and still have the option for crew berths for 4.
What is really amazing and important is that the Stellar Cat can support this capacity of guest and crew with seating/lounging space, plus cold and dry storage.
The flexibility of this design is amazing, there is even an option for an Altra Low AIR DRAFT version that will allow the vessel to pass under a 14' (4.27m) this combined with the low draft of 4' creates the ability to venture where many vessels cannot. Plus a fully enclosed flybridge version.

Just picture the fact that you can fuel in Florida, cruise the Bahamas, cruise down to the Windward and leeward Islands, then to the coast of South America and return to Florida without refueling. You can ship her to the Med and cruise all of the Med and Northern Europe and return all while burning the least expensive fuel you could find.
