Steve Reoch of All Ocean Yachts, has represented the Buyer in the sale of QUEEN OF DIAMONDS, the 132’ 1970 Feadship. Queen of Diamonds has been around the world three times and is preparing for another adventurous circumnavigation.
Queen of Diamonds has logged in excess of 130,000 miles and has visited over 70 different countries in her two circumnavigations over the last 14 years. Each mile has been under the same captain and wife team.
In 2000/2002 at Bradford Marine, the entire yacht including the hull and superstructure were completely re-faired using new epoxy fairing compounds. The old fairing compound was oil based so was completely removed by sand blasting the entire yacht including bottom, hull and superstructure to bare metal. Various sections have been repainted since. Hull, bulwalks, coamings.
New polyurethane Awlgrip paint was applied over the zinc metalizing coatings and new fairing compound. The yacht presently looks better and is better than when originally constructed.
