106' Cantiere Delle Marche Expedition Yacht "Uptight"

Dear All,
During the Palm Beach Boat show I inspected a 106', 2022 Cantiere Delle Marche. This is one of the Darwin series designed by Hydro Tec, a 102' with the addition of a large cockpit for fishing and diving.

Explorer Yacht "Uptight"

"Uptight" is powered by twin 670 hp Caterpillar C18 Acert tier III engines with approximately 1145 hrs. These are not the normal engines in most of the Darwin series which normally have MAN engines. There is nothing wrong with the MANs but I do prefer the Cats. Her cruising speed is 10 to 11 knots and has 4200 nm range at cruising speed. She was built to RINA, S. P.A certificate, C Hull, MACH Yacht Short Range Navigation and LY3, Large Commercial Yacht Code, Short Range.

She has a layout that has 6 guest staterooms, with what could be considered two masters staterooms, one on the lower deck and one behind the wheelhouse.

The overall condition of the vessels looks to be very good. The Darwin designs are known to by true world cruising Explorer yachts and to be sea kindly.

Darwin 106 Main Salon

The key features of this vessel are the number of staterooms, her range, the large highly functional cockpit and the fact that it is all accomplished in 106'.

There is a system to fuel deasil tenders or other vessels. She acted as a mothership to two sport fish vessels. There is a basic dive set up in the laz with space to put in a full dive room.

"Uptight" Flybridge

Over all it is my opinion that CDM has again produced a lovely highly functional Explorer Yacht. If you are looking for a vessel with this combination of features, Uptight should be at the top of your list.
