Steve sold his first yacht in 1978. He spent his childhood getting on the decks of whatever boats he could, which included extensive yacht racing on Chesapeake Bay. While working on his degree in International Trade at American University in Washington, D.C., he lived and worked on an 87' 1916 converted ice cutter. After graduation he sailed to Europe.
The years of 1976 through 1978 Steve worked at a manufacturing and sales management training program in a high tech mini-steel mill outside of Philadelphia before returning to work as brokerage and marina services manager at a new 400 slip marina, also in the Washington D.C. area.
Steve has represented new construction in the United States, Japan, Australia, England, and Italy. Steve is fully conversant in full displacement motor yacht solutions. Steve is a licensed captain and has logged thousands of sea miles, both power and sail. He lived aboard his 48' Dutch Ketch for 10 years and enjoyed a partnership in a 56' Ray Hunt Yacht fisherman.
Steve travels the world searching out yachts and yacht builders and personally inspects hundreds of yachts every year. His focus when dealing with customers is, "listen, thoroughly research, and relentlessly pursue value for the customer." The process of purchasing a large yacht is very personal and usually a substantial investment. For recreation, Steve can be found kayaking Florida's waterways, trying to blow up a spinnaker offshore or tending to his orchids.
