Fort Lauderdale Boat Show Report

48th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

October 25 - 29, 2007

Dear all,

Yacht Sudami
At the Show- Yacht Sudami
What can I say about the 2007 Fort Lauderdale International Boatshow, it was wet and windy but a fabulous show for Inace Yachts and myself. This year we had SUDAMI the 111' INACE Yachts Explorer in the show and as in the past 2 years, we were almost overwhelmed by the response to the boat. I had 3 people from Inace Yachts assisting me and at times we had a wait of over 30 minutes to inspect the boat. I thank any of you that did have to wait for your patience. Even on the rainiest day we had continuous groups viewing. We had all of the major international magazines aboard and you will be seeing the boat in a number of upcoming articles with new photos.

There was very good reaction from all of the interested clients that viewed Sudami and are now working on refining designs and specifications for a number of them for vessels from 85' to 145' in both Explorer Yacht designs and Yacht Explorer designs.

In addition to the clients that were interested in building we had a number of CHARTER BROKERS AND CLIENTS that visited the boat. We are already receiving bookings from the show. Her rate for this winter in the Caribbean is USD$60,000.00 plus all and USD$80,000.00 for the Mediterranean this coming summer. She is booking up so please contact me if you are interested in chartering her.

I feel for Inace Yachts and me personally one of the must rewarding things were the compliments we received from other builders and brokers/designers. A number of them where European, as proof of they appreciation of the boat and yard we are quoting on vessels for several of them including the previous owner of a Dutch built Explorer Yacht.

Just to be perfectly clear, Inace Yachts is not built to date a vessel that could be said to be of "Dutch" quality. What the clients and brokers saw and said is that that with the progress they have seen in each yacht delivered the past few years and the present quality and price point they were very surprised and comfortable with what they could receive for a given price point.

Inace Yachts is investing heavily to improve and continue to upgrade all aspects of quality and production including expanding the already large covered area to accommodate vessels to 300', purchasing new equipment for all sections of the shipyard including the new expanded carpentry shop where they are putting in the latest molding cutting machine, veneer presses, vacuum bagging tables as well as other items. They are also continuing with their training program brings master carpenters from the US to teach the present work force the latest techniques in modular construction. They continue to run the free course in English to any interested workers in the yard, which has been an on going program over the past 3 years.

So in short, it was a great show, I thank any of you who stopped by and I look forward to answering any questions you may have.

Again thank you to all of you who took the time to visit with us.

If you would like more information about the shows or some of the new designs, please drop me a e-mail.

Warmest regards,
John DeCaro
